Bacterium Albidiferax saidenbachensis

Albidiferax saidenbachensis was isolated from the Saidenbach drinking water reservoir in Saxony in Germany by Rene Kaden in 2006. It is an apathogenic microorganism and its DNA was also detected in bottles of mineral water. The bacterium is a gram negative rod and lives in oligotrophic aqueous environments. A special characteristic is the psychrophilic mode of life with an active metabolism up to 0°C. These bacteria were measured with the MFP-3D in AC mode on glass substrate in air with a cantilever of a spring constant between 0.9-1.75N/m and a scan rate of 0.8Hz. The scan size is 7.5µm.
