Overview
IGOR Pro software-based control and data processing provides both easy and flexible use as well as user customizable software for the MFP-1D AFM.  Cutting edge research demands novel ways to examine your data.  This is one of the primary reasons we chose this platform for our control and analysis software.  We provide you with the means to quickly and easily adapt our analysis, or completely create your own.  Data is useless unless you are able to preform the specific statistical analysis that your specific experiment requires.

About IGOR Pro
IGOR Pro has been used by scientists and engineers for over a decade.  It provides an integrated package from which you can collect and process your data, as well as render your final journal quality graphics.  Additionally, it is an accelerated platform from which you can develop your own custom experiments.  IGOR pro is a high level C based language—high level in that considerable effort has been taken to make learning the language as easy as possible.  Additionally, experienced programmers will find that the similarities to C will greatly decrease their learning curve.  Most of the standard IGOR functions can be accessed by easy to use menus.  This in turn will display the commands required to execute the function, making it much faster to learn IGOR's language.

Software customized for your applications
Numerous research groups have already developed their own data acquisition and processing routines.  Often times this is done with the help of the Asylum Research software team.  We are more than happy to assist with your specific needs, as this often times leads us to including these features in our standard software. In addition, Wavemetics hosts an email list that is an excellent forum to discuss IGOR-related issues, to raise technical questions that might be of general interest, and to locate IGOR solutions.

Getting Help While in the MFP Software
Every control on the MFP-1D interface has a simple little button to the right of it with a "?" on it. By clicking on these help buttons, a detailed description is brought up of what the corresponding control does. And of course, we at Asylum are dedicated to providing the best support possible. Often times when you call or write the support email account, the person who wrote the software, or designed the component is the one that responds.
